Finely Aged and Ready to Serve at New Location
Houston – Houston Wine Merchant, a local institution since 1984, has opened in its new building at 2646 South Shepard.
Browne Penland McGregor Stephens Architects provided full architectural and interior design services for the freestanding 2,125 SF building on an urban infill site. Constructed of split-faced, limestone aggregate, concrete blocks with exposed structural steel, the store has the feel of an open loft, and its limestone walls complement the fine wines and liquors sold by proprietors Scott Spencer and Mary Cook.
Browne Penland McGregor Stephens Architects was founded in 1995 and provides planning, programming, and architectural services for sustainable design, corporate, educational, health care, research & development, retail and restaurant project types.
