Browne McGregor Architects was founded in 1995 and includes a staff of nine in its Houston office located on the city’s West Loop.

The firm specializes in the delivery of services for corporate, educational, health care, retail & restaurant, and science & technology projects. Programming, Master Planning, Architecture and Interior Design services are provided in-house. Other disciplines, including Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, are provided through consulting relationships with firms selected to meet specific project requirements.

The firm has completed projects in nine states, one US territory and four foreign countries and maintains professional licenses in 17 states.

 Increasingly the firm’s work is produced using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. This three dimensional format allows clients to see and understand their projects before they are built. When combined with consultants using this software it also allows for the creation of a virtual building model and the chance to coordinate design disciplines and resolve conflicts before work on the actual project begins.

 The firm’s staff includes four registered architects and two Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professionals. The Pearland Pediatrics project received LEED certification in 2005, and the Tomball Medical Office Building is registered with the US Green Building Council with the goal of achieving LEED Silver certification in 2009. Two other LEED projects are currently in the design stage.

Firm goals are to offer collaborative services in concert with project owners, consultants and contractors to produce buildings tailored to their owners and users needs and to meet budget and schedule objectives. The firm maintains membership in the American Institute of Architects, the US Green Building Council and other professional associations and seeks, through active participation with these organizations, to be in the forefront of current trends and techniques in the delivery of architectural services.
